Line of pencil probes with LVDT and HBT high precision position transducers

The Red Crown pencil probes line developed by TESTAR, a MARPOSS division, to fulfil quality control requirements in the workshop is available in four variants:

Basic line:

A family of 52 standard models covering a measuring range from ± 0,5 mm to ± 5 mm. The pencil probes are supplied with full-bridge (LVDT) or half-bridge (HBT) transducer already calibrated for connection to any TESTAR electronic display units such as E18, E4, E4N, Quick Read™ Microcolumn and, through the data acquisition systems Easy Box and Gage Box™ to E9066s™ Industrial PC.

Compatible line:

A comprehensive list of probes covering the TESTAR standard measuring ranges with appropriate electrical connector and calibrated to comply with your existing electronic display unit.

Unplugged line:

The 52 standard models of the basic line can also be provided without connector. Based on established electrical characteristics supplied with each probe the user can add the necessary connector and perform the appropriate calibration to the electronics in use.

Soft touch line:

Pencil probes especially designed with very low measuring force to directly gauge delicate parts such as glass, TV tubes, car windshields and plastic material. They can therefore satisfy specific measurement requirements where the tip force must consistently be kept at a very minimum value (it is 0,3 N with spring push models and 0,06 N with models without spring).

These probes can be supplied in basic or compatible configuration.

Reliability and durability are assured in all models through innovative design and the use of the most suitable materials, developed thanks to TESTAR’s extensive experience in the quality control sector. Red Crown pencil probes assure precision measurements, even below one micron, and contribute to the quality of measurement data.

Manual Snap Gauge

The Marposs M2 manual snap gauge is an extremely accurate electronic comparator developed to inspect multiple outside diameters.

It is available in two versions: with separated or added signals. The last one minimizes the number of connectors (one for each pair of contacts) which permits connection to a Marposs single-channel E4 electronic amplifier. In this case, the connection between the M2 mechanics and the E4 electronics is accomplished with an extension cable.

Due to its accuracy and ease in handling, the M2 snap gauge provides the automotive market with an essential product, suitable for any type of measurement performed on main bearings and pin bearings. Designed for high-volume industrial production and requiring neither retooling nor maintenance, the M2 snap gauge fully deserves the title of non-stop gauge.

The major inspections are the following : 3 diametrical measurements, ovality, barrel-shape and taper.

Bore Gauge: M1 STAR EBG

Manual Electronic Bore Gauge with LVDT or HBT Transducers

M1 Star EBG (Electronic Bore Gauge) is the brand new line of Marposs highly advanced manual electronic gauges for bore inspection.

M1 Star EBG draws from the experience of M1 Electron, the market best-selling solution in the last 20 years, with more than 100,000 units delivered.
The integrated-transducer design eliminates any kind of friction in the mechanical transmission, thus allowing excellent metrological performances, while guaranteeing high reliability and durability in the most severe production environment.

Thanks to its modular and versatile design, M1 Star EBG can offer a large number of unique features, such as:

Sub-micron accuracy in a wide measuring range (3 to 300 mm diameter)
Robust, shock-proof construction
IP 67 degree of protection against water and coolant

This model will use the same “measuring core” as the model with cable, while differing from it just for the handle which accomodates the transmitter. These characteristics make M1 Star?¢‚Äû¬¢ Wireless easy to operate and offering the same excellent performance as the regular EBG version.
By pressing on a button the real time measurement value is sent to the receiver located onto the display unit.
M1 Star Wireless can be connected to any MARPOSS E9066 series Industrial PC.
